For the entire duration of law school, Ms. Burtness received a full-tuition scholarship and was also a member of the Dean’s Circle Honor’s Program. Ms. Burtness graduated with scholastic merit. She was a member of the Law Review during 2L and 3L years wherein she was a published writer in the Western State University Law Review Journal, during this time she also oversaw and mentored three technical editors. Ms. Burtness was a Dean’s fellow whose duties included tutoring other law students. Since being admitted to the bar, she previously specialized in employment law matters on the Plaintiff’s side, wherein she successfully concluded many cases for Plaintiff clients. Ms. Burtness has appeared and engaged in oral argument in the U.S. District Court which resulted in a published opinion.
In Ms.Burtness’ spare time, she chases around her 3 year old son and 1 year old daughter. They also read books, paint, build, sing, dance, climb, jump on the trampoline, and laugh together as a family. She also enjoys waterskiing and yoga.
