Erica A. Bobak is a native Las Vegan, a graduate of Bishop Gorman High School, and a proud alumna of UNLV’s William F. Harrah College of Hotel Administration. Erica experienced the demands of the special events business at a young age. Her family has owned Soirées Catering & Events for over 35 years, and Erica worked the front and back of the house supporting the business, doing everything from creating filing systems to managing décor arrangement.
Erica went on to law school, receiving her Juris Doctor from the UNLV William S. Boyd School of Law in 2015. During law school, Erica developed an interest in legal issues specific to the fashion industry, including intellectual property protection and labeling regulations imposed by both international and domestic regulatory authorities, such as the FTC. She began to offer classes regarding intellectual property considerations for emerging designers at the Las Vegas Trade and Fashion Academy.
After graduating law school, Erica served as the judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jerry A. Wiese II in Department 30 of the Eighth Judicial District Court for Clark County, Nevada, giving her the opportunity to see a wide variety of civil cases, including contract disputes, general liability defense, complex litigation involving numerous third party and subrogation claims, cases involving medical providers, and construction defect matters.
Prior to joining Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, Erica worked as an associate attorney in a small boutique law firm, specializing in business, transactional, intellectual property, and healthcare matters, and has worked on disputes involving contract claims, defamation, allegations of fraud, business torts, unfair competition, and intellectual property claims. She is a member of the State Bar of Nevada and is licensed to practice law in all Nevada State Courts, as well as in the United States District Court for the District of Nevada. Erica enjoys baking, traveling, and volunteering as a member of the Junior League of Las Vegas.
