Katie Coy is an associate attorney in the Los Angeles office of Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara.
Ms. Coy graduated summa cum laude and with honors from Vanguard University of Southern California, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in History and Political Science. During her time at Vanguard, Ms. Coy interned for the office of United States Congressman John Campbell and also studied abroad in the Republic of Ireland at the Institute for Public Administration in Dublin. Subsequently, she received her Juris Doctor from Pepperdine University School of Law, and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution from the Straus Institute for Dispute Resolution, the top-ranked Alternative Dispute Resolution programs in the United States. While at law school, Ms. Coy studied abroad in London, UK, as well as volunteered in Pepperdine’s Global Justice Program serving as a judicial extern for the Anti-Corruption Court of Uganda.
Upon graduating law school, Ms. Coy worked as a Mediator for the Department of Fair Employment and Housing for the State of California, where she focused on resolving a variety of housing, employment and sexual harassment disputes. Ms. Coy’s current practice includes representing clients in personal injury, construction defect, and general civil litigation matters.
In her free time, Ms. Coy volunteers at her local community church, and sings in the choir. She also served as a volunteer at a Children’s Home in Columbia, for which she organized a Wine Tasting Event to raise money for clothes and soccer balls for the children and much needed funds for a new nursery.
