Kevin F. Serrano is an associate at the Newport Beach office. He became a member of the California State Bar in 2019. Before joining Bremer Whyte, Mr. Serrano practiced civil litigation with a focus in catastrophic injuries and medical malpractice. Prior to that, he was a graduate law clerk for the San Diego Public Defender’s Office and served as a law clerk for the Office of the City Attorney of Chula Vista, California. Mr. Serrano has appeared in courts throughout Southern California, assisting in the defense of clients’ matters.
Mr. Serrano graduated from San Diego State University in 2014 with a bachelor’s degree in Communication, and while there, he founded the Photography Club at SDSU. He then earned his Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in downtown San Diego. During his time at California Western, he was elected Chairman of the Board of Representatives, Class Representative, and President of the Business Law Society. He also worked pro-bono via the Community Law Project, Trademark Clinic, and New Media Rights. The faculty identified Mr. Serrano as a Student of Distinction, selected him to join the Faculty Appointment Committee, and inducted him into the Pro Bono Honors and Public Service Honors Societies.
Mr. Serrano serves as the Young Lawyers Division Community Outreach Co-Chair for the Orange County Bar Association; he is also active with San Diego Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the United States District Court for the Southern District of California. Mr. Serrano joined Bremer Whyte in 2020. In his spare time, he enjoys salsa dancing, practicing photography, and being at the beach.
