Before moving to the Golden State, Ms. Hassanzada was born in Afghanistan and grew up in Frankfurt, Germany. As a result, she learned to speak Dari and German fluently.
Ms. Hassanzada obtained her Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice from the California State University, Fullerton. She received her Juris Doctorate from California Western School of Law in Downtown, San Diego, where she was awarded the Murray L. Galinson Memorial Scholarship and inducted into the Public Service Honors Society and Pro Bono Honors Society.
While in law school, Ms. Hassanzada was elected Vice-President of the Student Body Association and served on the board of the Middle Eastern Law Student Association. She worked at boutique family law firms in San Diego, as well as the Orange County Public Defender’s Office, and San Diego District Attorney’s Office.
In Ms. Hassanzada’s spare time, she enjoys going to the beach, learning bachata, and getting creative with her baking skills.
