Tyler B. McQuillan is an associate attorney in our San Diego office, splitting his time between Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara LLP and the firm’s subsidiary practice, the Viridis Law Group. Mr. McQuillan assists and advises business clients on a range of issues including entity formation, ongoing corporate governance, commercial transactions, and corporate finance and securities issues. Mr. McQuillan also actively supports the firm’s civil litigation practice and is admitted in all state Courts throughout California and the United States District and the United States Bankruptcy Courts of the Southern District of California.
Mr. McQuillan obtained his Bachelor of Arts from the University of California San Diego and his Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of San Diego School of Law. During law school, Mr. McQuillan spent a semester at the University of Copenhagen studying international legal research and theory and EU data privacy and protection law. At USD, Mr. McQuillan was a recipient of the Dean’s Honor Scholarship and also received Academic Honors scholarships at the conclusion of his first and second years for completing each year in the top five percent of his class.
Prior to joining the firm, Mr. McQuillan worked for a law firm in Rancho Santa Fe, California, focusing on business transactions and business litigation. Before that experience, Mr. McQuillan worked as a compliance adviser in the corporate finance and capital markets division of one of the world’s largest investment banks. This experience provides Mr. McQuillan a uniquely business-minded perspective in his practice. During law school, Mr. McQuillan externed for two judges of the United States District Court, externed for the Presiding Justice of the California Court of Appeal in San Diego, served as a civil litigation law clerk for the Office of the Attorney General, and provided transactional legal services to startups and emerging growth companies through University of San Diego’s Entrepreneurship Clinic.
In his free time, Mr. McQuillan enjoys exploring new recipes cooking, practicing the guitar, and taking advantage of San Diego’s picturesque climate. He is involved in the San Diego County Bar Association, a committee member and editor of its monthly For the Record publication and serves on the Board of Directors for a local non-profit organization.
