Isabel “Bella” J. Highland

Isabel “Bella” J. Highland is a dedicated attorney at the Newport Beach office of Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Berkeley. She later received her Juris Doctor from Suffolk University Law School located in Boston, Massachusetts.

With over a decade of legal experience, she concentrates her practice on insurance defense in the area of general liability. Prior to joining Bremer Whyte, she worked as an associate on insurance defense with an emphasis on construction defect matters where she represented general contractors, subcontractors, owners, builders, and management companies.

Bella’s background also includes work in reinsurance defense for excess liability carriers. This enables her unique insight into layered coverage issues and risk management strategies. She has also worked in the practice areas of personal injury, medical malpractice, mass torts, employment and contract law on plaintiff side which allows her to further leverage her experience to better strategize, negotiate and obtain the desired results and favorable outcomes on behalf of her clients.

In addition, she also believes strongly in working as a legal advocate for underserved communities. She has given her time and skills pro bono working with various private firms and government agencies.

Before attending law school, Bella most notably worked at KPMG, LLP and The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York City, New York.

She is admitted to the California State Bar and is a member of the Los Angeles County Bar Association.

While not working, Bella enjoys spending time with her family.
