Markus Auers is an associate attorney at the Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara’s Las Vegas office. Mr. Auers is a native Texan who attended Texas Tech University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in Geography. After graduating, Mr. Auers worked as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst primarily in the water resources field. Mr. Auers then attended the Sandra Day O’Connor College of Law at Arizona State University, where he was awarded a merit scholarship.
While in Law School, Mr. Auers participated in ASU’s First Amendment Clinic, where he had the opportunity to represent a journalist before the Arizona Supreme Court in the case Silverman v. Ariz. Dep’t of Econ. Sec. Mr. Auers helped the journalist receive a favorable ruling from the Supreme Court in the journalist’s request for certain records held by the Arizona Department of Economic Security. Mr. Auers received a CALI award for his efforts in the First Amendment Clinic. Mr. Auers also interned at a leading civil rights public interest firm after his first year in law school and later interned at a civil litigation firm. Upon graduating and passing the Nevada Bar Exam, Mr. Auers began working at BWB&O as an associate attorney.
In his free time, Mr. Auers enjoys skiing, lifting weights, hiking with his dog Princess, and traveling. Mr. Auers is a lifelong Dallas Mavericks fan and still has not recovered from the Luka Doncic trade.
