Meet Jennifer! Born and raised in Las Vegas, Jennifer has built her entire life and career in the city she calls home. Jennifer joined BWB&O right after graduating high school in 2003 and has been part of the team ever since. To her, this firm truly feels like family.
Outside of work, Jennifer is passionate about staying active and new experiences, such as racing games, swimming, hiking, camping, skating, cliff jumping, or mixed martial arts. Jennifer also has a creative side with a love for art and horror movies. She spent her entire educational journey, from elementary school through the first year of college, on the same street she grew up on. Loyalty and commitment are first nature to her.
Most importantly, Jennifer is proud to have a wonderful daughter who was born the day after her birthday. She is grateful for the best husband in the world, whom she has known for over 20 years and has been happily married to for 7.
Q&A
Q: What is your current role at BWB&O, and what does a typical day look like for you?
A: I currently work in the accounting department as an Accounting Specialist. While my primary focus is on accounts payable, I also manage our Arizona, Colorado, and Nevada trust accounts, as well as handle various overhead expenses and licensing matters. Every day brings something new, which keeps the work engaging and rewarding.
Q: How has your role evolved since you first joined the team?
A: When I first joined BWB&O, I started as a file clerk. Over time, I transitioned into the accounting department, where I began assisting with monthly billing statements. I helped create our first mail merge system, which significantly reduced processing time, and later submitted our firm’s first LEDES-formatted statement through an online billing portal. It’s been gratifying to watch the firm evolve and to contribute to that growth firsthand.
Q: What’s a favorite memory or experience from growing up in Las Vegas?
A: Wet‘n’Wild! When I was a kid, I spent countless summers there. For us, it was basically like a summer camp—and honestly, the most affordable one you could imagine. We’d get season passes, and my parents would drop us off in the morning and pick us up at night. I was even hired to be a lifeguard one summer, but I came down with pneumonia right before my exam and couldn’t swim that whole season—and then the park closed the following year! Still, those summers at Wet‘n’Wild are some of my favorite memories growing up.
Q: How do you balance work, family, and your active lifestyle?
A: I feel like it’s always a work in progress. Every day brings new challenges, but I’m so fortunate to have a wonderful family that helps me find that balance. Their support gives me the confidence and strength to get through the tougher days—and that’s something I’m genuinely grateful for.
A special thank you to Jennifer for sharing her experience with us!
