Jenica Mistica Pelayo is originally from Texas. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing from the University of Texas at Dallas. Prior to attending law school, Ms. Pelayo worked in public and college libraries.
While in law school, Ms. Pelayo was involved in guiding 1L students as a legal writing teaching assistant and an academic support teaching assistant. She gained experience in a wide range of matters through internships and externships, including: criminal law, civil litigation, business law, real estate law, estate planning and probate. She also served as the Vice President for the school’s Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
Ms. Pelayo earned her Juris Doctor degree from Texas A&M School of Law and was admitted to the State Bar of Nevada in 2025.
In her free time, Ms. Pelayo enjoys reading, baking, and watching movies with her cat, Peanut.
