Since 1962, AAML has operated as a nonprofit association of family lawyers who have experience and concentrate on all issues related to marriage, divorce, child custody and visitation, annulment, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, matters affecting unmarried cohabitants, business valuation and property distribution, alimony, and support. The Southern California Chapter of the AAML includes only 89 fellows and serves residents of Southern California up to Arroyo Grande. Judges and attorneys recognize AAML fellows as legal professionals with a high degree of legal acumen and integrity.
