Meet Ava! Ava always wanted to be an attorney so she started working at law firms as early as college. Ava attended the University of California, Berkeley where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English. Ava went on to attend Chapman University School of Law earning a Juris Doctor while maintaining an Academic Merit Scholarship.
In addition to internships during law school at several plaintiff’s personal injury and employment firms, Ava became a Certified Law Clerk with the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office in Norwalk for over a year. This unpaid position with the District Attorney’s Office provided invaluable in-court and trial preparation experience. Ava assisted in extensive trial preparation for over ten murder cases, sat second chair for an attempted kidnapping trial, and successfully conducted sixteen Preliminary Hearings involving various felonies.
After passing the bar in 2017, Ava accepted an associate attorney position from a small Plaintiff’s personal injury firm. At that point, Ava already had seven years of legal experience in both civil and criminal law from pre-litigation through trial and appeal, but all on the plaintiff’s side. Ava wanted to try civil litigation on the defense side and applied to Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP in 2018. The rest is history! BWB&O has been Ava’s work family ever since. In June 2023, Ava was promoted to Partner.
