Ms. Zurkan graduated from Northeastern University with a B.A. in political science and history. After working as a debate coach and environmental consultant, she went on to attend law school at the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in May 2020. In law school, Ms. Zurkan received a Certificate in Environmental and Natural Resources Law and the inaugural Public Good Distinction award, working with the federal government, non-profits, and in private practice on matters related to toxic torts and hazardous waste, public lands, and wildlife management.
Ms. Zurkan was admitted to practice law in October 2020 in Colorado and worked in private practice on general liability matters including hazardous waste issues as well as premises liability, personal injury, construction defect, employment, and municipal and public entity defense at a small firm in Colorado. She relocated to Nevada in 2023 and continues to focus on general liability defense work.
Ms. Zurkan is licensed to practice before all courts in Nevada and Colorado and in the United States District Courts for the District of Nevada and District of Colorado.
