Mr. Wagner comes from a business and legal background bolstered by tech skills. He earned a degree in History with Honors from UC Santa Barbara. During law school at University of San Diego, he earned a concentration in Business/Corporate law, served on the editing board of the San Diego International Law Journal, and completed an additional LLM degree in Tax Law. His research on the taxation of international businesses also won the annual competition held by Tax Notes, the most prestigious tax law journal.
After law school, Mr. Wagner defended taxpayers from IRS audits and his interest in litigation grew. During the pandemic, he became a Hearing Officer for the Texas Workforce Commission, where he conducted hearings and wrote decisions to help address the flood of unemployment claims. Before joining Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP, Mr. Wagner worked as an eDiscovery Consultant for a Fortune 500 company, where he handled large volumes of digital evidence for complex litigation including class actions.
Mr. Wagner is an Eagle Scout who grew up in Orange County. He loves the beach, mountains, and coastal California. In his spare time, Mr. Wagner enjoys hiking, world travel, attending church events, and spending time with family and friends.
