Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Ong served as a Judicial Law Clerk to the Honorable Danielle K. Pieper of Nevada’s Eighth Judicial District Court. His clerkship provided him with valuable insight into judicial decision-making and effective litigation strategy. Mr. Ong also served as a Legal Extern with the Nevada Gaming Control Board, where he analyzed investigative records, drafted suitability recommendations, and applied Nevada gaming statutes and regulations to administrative proceedings.
Before law school, Mr. Ong spent more than a decade at both Big Law firms and in-house roles as an intellectual property (IP) paralegal, managing IP portfolios for Fortune 500 companies and start-ups.
Mr. Ong earned his J.D. from the California Western School of Law, where he received multiple Academic Excellence Awards and Dean’s Honors recognition. He also completed a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Gaming Law and Regulation from the William S. Boyd School of Law at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, where his studies focused on gaming regulation, tribal gaming, sports wagering, and casino operations.
Prior to his legal career, Mr. Ong proudly served in the United States Air Force, where he was recognized for outstanding service and leadership. His military experience instilled the discipline, professionalism, and commitment to service that continue to guide his approach to client representation.
Outside of the office, you can find Mr. Ong at the gym, golf course, or hanging out with friends and family.
