Karen Wagner began her career with the insurance defense firm of Carroll, Burdick & McDonough and later became a manager in the Legal Department of Saga Corporation.
During law school, Ms. Wagner clerked for the University Counsel at the University of San Francisco. She also had the honor of serving as an extern for the Hon. Marcus Kaufman of the California Supreme Court. Ms. Wagner was an Articles Editor for the University of San Francisco Law Review and co-authored a summary of nonprofit laws for the review. She also represented her law school at the National Appellate Advocacy Competition.
After graduation, Ms. Wagner had the honor of serving as a law clerk to the Hon. Leslie Tchaikovsky of the U.S. Bankruptcy Court, Northern District of California. She later wrote legal practice guides for Commerce Clearing House and legal analyses for Thompson Reuters. Karen later joined the practices of Shapiro & Shapiro and of Beckman, Feller & Chang P.C. as a litigator.
In her spare time, Ms. Wagner enjoys volunteering in her community through nonprofit organizations includings Eddy House and Shared Harvest. She is a member of Reno South Rotary Club and enjoys cross-country skiing, hiking and concerts with her friends and family.
