What unique skills or expertise set you apart in your industry?
As a Certified Family Law Specialist and Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers, I bring over 20 years of extensive experience in high-net-worth divorces, complex custody disputes and asset division. I also bring 35 years of experience as a trial lawyer in business and civil litigation. I focus on strategic, solution-driven approaches while prioritizing compassionate advocacy to help my clients make informed decisions. As a wife, mother, business owner and investor, I apply real-world experience and insights to every case.
What current trend is shaping the future of your field?
A significant shift in family law is the reliance on remote court hearings and depositions, improving accessibility and efficiency for clients and attorneys. While virtual proceedings offer flexibility and cost savings, they also present challenges in ensuring due process, managing technology and adapting advocacy strategies. As remote hearings become more common, attorneys must refine their approach for strong representation, whether in person or online. Another current trend is using artificial intelligence to enhance efficiency and case outcomes.
How do you utilize your power to uplift those around you?
As Founding Partner of Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP and leader of our family law department, I am committed to fostering a positive, collaborative work environment. Our firm values diversity, culture and work-life balance, helping our team to thrive. We are also dedicated to community engagement, supporting organizations providing legal aid to needy families.
Is there business advice you would impart to future Power Players?
Success in law and business depends on resilience, relationships and reputation. Adapt, build strong connections and maintain integrity in everything you do. Protect your reputation by delivering excellence and treating everyone with respect and professionalism.
Where do you go to unwind and recharge from the hustle of your workweek?
I have a black belt in Kenpo Karate. The discipline helps me stay focused and manage stress. I also recently took up competitive ballroom dancing, which brings me great joy. I also recharge by spending time with family, playing piano, traveling and reading, which gives me a fresh perspective for my work.
