Meet Orchid! Orchid was born and raised in Los Angeles, but her first steps into the spotlight occurred far earlier than most. At just four years old, she began working in Iranian radio and satellite television every week. By the age of thirteen, she had her own radio show tailored for kids and pre-teens and was a host for a children’s TV program that aired internationally. Interviewing iconic Iranian actors, singers, and public figures gave her an incredible confidence boost and sparked her love for storytelling, connection, and advocacy.
The early media experience eventually evolved into a calling for law. After earning her law degree from Western State College of Law, she dove into litigation and hasn’t looked back.
Outside of work, Orchid enjoys keeping her creativity muscles strong. She loves cooking (especially Persian food), crafting with her Cricut machine, painting, going to comedy shows, and spending time at the beach, soaking in a cotton-candy sunset. Whether she’s making memories with her family or designing a themed party from scratch, Orchid approaches life with heart, humor, and a constant drive to create.
Q&A
Q: What’s a memorable moment from your time at BWB&O?
A: A standout moment for me was getting my very first office. Law school and bar prep came with a lot of pressure, and I used to dream about the day I’d finally swap out classroom desks for my own office. So, when that day came at Bremer Whyte, I celebrated in full force – I pretty much robbed HomeGoods of everything I thought would make my workspace feel like my own. That moment made everything feel real.
Q: How do you stay grounded when things get hectic?
A: The “pause, breathe, tackle” method has gotten me through a lot. However, during law school, I also began a ritual that I still practice: every week, I write down three things I’m grateful for and place them in a jar. On tough days, I glance at that jar (filled sometimes to the brim) and it’s a beautiful reminder that, no matter what challenge I’m facing, there’s also so much good in my life worth focusing on, and that everything is temporary, even our problems.
Q: If you weren’t a lawyer, what would you be doing?
A: I’d probably be a DJ. There’s something magical about performing in front of a crowd and setting the tone for everyone’s mood through music. Making a heart with my hands for the crowd, creating that energy, making people feel good, and getting to travel while doing it. That would’ve been a dream in another timeline.
Q: Favorite way to unwind or express yourself outside of work?
A: I’m constantly creating- whether it’s cooking a new dish, crafting a personalized gift, or painting a new art piece. Creativity is my love language, and for me, it’s how I refill my cup so I can pour into others. Oh, and the beach. There’s nothing a sunset can’t fix.
