Meet Daisy! Daisy Baca was born and raised in Ventura County, California. From a young age, Daisy was fascinated with archaeology and enjoyed learning about all ancient cultures and mythologies, especially regarding Egypt. To name a couple, Daisy has visited the King Tut exhibit at the Denver Art Museum and the Pompeii exhibit at the Seattle Science Museum. If there’s a tour or museum/exhibit available while traveling, that’s where you will find her.
After graduating high school, Daisy moved to Colorado to pursue a degree in Massage Therapy. For ten years, she worked as a full-time massage therapist. In 2013, Daisy chose to pursue a degree in Paralegal Studies. While in school, Daisy was offered her first job in the legal field as a receptionist in Denver, Colorado, and she also continued to work as a massage therapist. After graduating in 2018, Daisy accepted her first pre-lit paralegal position at a small Plaintiff’s injury law firm.
In her free time, Daisy likes taking her infant son and dog on walks to enjoy the outdoors—weather permitting. During the holiday season, she loves staying in, watching movies, baking, and, most importantly, watching her son reach his first milestones. When summertime comes around, Daisy likes to grill outside and spend time at the lake paddle boarding with friends.
Q: What do you most enjoy about your Legal Secretary position in BWB&O’s Denver office?
A: As a Legal Secretary at BWB&O, I’ve gained substantial experience on the defense side of construction defect cases, which was new to me, and have enjoyed learning the ins and outs of this type of law.
Q: How do you manage your workload to maintain a healthy work-life balance?
A: I prioritize getting up from my desk, walking around to stretch, and taking a breather. Doing so helps me clear my head a bit before tackling my tasks. Also, having open communication with the attorneys regarding the tasks at hand is important to managing them.
Q: What exhibit are you most interested in visiting next?
A: Next year, I am looking forward to and planning on taking my son to the Denver Aquarium, the Denver Nature and Science Museum, and the Denver Mineral, Fossil, and Gem Show.
A special thank you to Daisy for sharing her experience with us!
