Michael Eschmann is an associate attorney in the Newport Beach office of Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara LLP. His practice combines business litigation with transactional and corporate work. He advises clients on mergers and acquisitions, commercial real estate, and general corporate matters, drafting and negotiating the agreements that support them, including purchase agreements, promissory notes, deeds of trust, and employment and non-competition agreements. He also forms and advises business entities, including professional corporations, and handles ongoing corporate compliance.
On the litigation side, Michael represents clients in construction and business disputes, from early-stage claims and lien matters through mediation, arbitration, and court proceedings. His experience in both litigation and transactions helps him resolve disputes with the underlying deal and business objectives in mind.
Before joining the firm, Michael worked in tax controversy and tax consulting while also externing under Judge Mary Jo Heston of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Washington. He earned his J.D. from the University of Washington School of Law, where he served as Chief of Articles for the Washington International Law Journal, and is admitted to practice in California.
