Before joining Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, Ms. Ellis practiced Criminal Prosecution at the Orange County District Attorney’s Office for two years. During her time at the District Attorney’s Office, Ms. Ellis practiced all areas of misdemeanor cases ranging from driving under the influence, domestic violence, restraining order violations, possession of controlled substances, sexual battery, indecent exposure, and prostitution and soliciting to engage in prostitution, amongst others. Ms. Ellis has completed 10 jury trials to verdict.
In addition, Ms. Ellis has completed over 100 felony preliminary hearings, which involved calling witnesses to the stand and presenting evidence to a judge. An example of some of the preliminary hearings Ms. Ellis practiced included: attempted murder by DNA evidence, driving under the influence of alcohol causing great bodily injury, assault with a deadly weapon, felony hit and run, sales of narcotics, identity theft, and arson.
Ms. Ellis received her J.D. from University of San Diego School of Law in 2021. During her time in law school, Ms. Ellis participated in Appellate Moot Court, serving as Executive Board Member during her third year. Ms. Ellis also served as the Chief Comment Editor for the Journal of Climate and Energy Law. Ms. Ellis received her B.A. in Political Science with a Minor in Leadership Studies from Baylor University in 2016.
In her spare time, Ms. Ellis enjoys going to Disneyland, camping, paddle boarding, and spending time with her husband
