Rachel Mihai and John Toohey Speak on Reverse Reptile Theory at the OCRIMS Chapter Meeting in February 2019

John Toohey and Rachel Mihai, Partners at Bremer Whyte Brown & O’Meara, LLP were featured speakers at the OCRIMS Chapter Meeting in February. OCRIMS is an active chapter of the Risk and Management Society, a global organization for risk management professionals.

Ms. Mihai and Mr. Toohey spoke on the topic “Reverse Reptile Theory”. In this discussion, they talked about how Plaintiff attorneys have been using the “Reptile Theory” to box in the defendant using information collected from defendants’ responses in creating a risk-free environment. Though the Reptile Theory has been in use for a long time, Rachel Mihai and John Toohey discussed the new “Reverse Reptile Theory” used by defense attorneys to prepare companies for depositions and trials.
