About the Anti-Defamation League
For decades, the ADL has been our nation’s premier civil rights and human relations organization, fighting anti-Semitism and bigotry of all kinds. Through education, legislation, inter-group dialogue, and the monitoring of extremist groups, ADL seeks to create a community free from hate and bigotry. The Marcus Kaufman Jurisprudence Award is bestowed upon attorneys who make outstanding contributions to their communities, serve as role models in their profession, and exemplify the ADL’s mission of fighting hate and promoting justice for all. The honorees are selected by the past Marcus Kaufman award recipients, who are legal luminaries well-known not only for their professional achievements but also for their community leadership.
